About
Resort Realism is the post-lofi project of Birmingham, Alabama natives Crawford King and Robert Wason. Based out of a home studio aptly named “the Resort,” the duo combines jazz and post-pock instrumentation with the production styles of lofi hip hop to create hypnotic, textural, and immersive electronic music. Their debut album “resort realism” was released on April 16, 2021, following a livestream premiere performance on Brooklyn’s The Lot Radio.resort realism’s dreamlike sound and surreal, self-directed multimedia content have gained them a global audience on Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify. For live performances, the band is augmented with a drummer and a saxophone player.
